The staff are always lovely and the facilities clean (unlike a few of the other cinemas in the area). Though its the Cinebuzz Club that really makes Event Cinemas shine; they have a permanent discount for members so the most you'll ever pay for a ticket is $12. After this its the free tickets, preview sessions, and Chicks at The Flicks events that I get as a Cinebuzz member that I appreciate the most. Totally recommend signing up and heading to Event
Not worth for the price. They charge like $23 per ticket, which is very high in my perspective. Seats are not adjustable and not very comfy as it is hard to keep your head straight because of the shape of the seat. It is better to go late as anyway you have spend like 30mins for advertisements. Also they charge a booking fee of $1.50 per each ticket whether you book it together or separately. I thought online systems were implemented to save money as they could reduce the number of employees. But here, it is different. If you purchase 10 tickets its $15 for nothing as booking fees.
Great choice of movies always in a sophisticated and dynamic setting. The screens and seating are awesome and the cinema sound the best I've heard the explosions in the action film I recently saw shook my seat. After the movie there is all the excitement of Queen Street mall!
2 concession tickets to a movie and 1 drink. $46.30We used a gift card and it didn't even cover the cost of the movie. We were also late because half of the elevators in the Myers Centre and all the escalators were closed off. Inaccessible as hell. Gee, I wonder why the cinemas are empty. We'll be going to South Bank from now on, where tickets are $5-8 and drinks and food isn't so over-priced. Seriously $6.70 for a small soft drink.. Ridiculous.Also, why would concession be MORE expensive then adult ticket prices? Wow..
That applies to every Event Cinemas, but having a Cinebuzz card AND being student offers quite good deals!This cinema is nice and not so crowded (only been daytime though), and plenty of games to play while waiting.Will definitely be back :)
