New small business owner and Bhupesh and Caitlin have been absolutely fantastic and helped me through the whole process. They both are very professional and answered any of my questions while always very positive. Would not hesitate recommending their services!
Tuesday, October 2, 2018. I had my appointment here with Leywah at 10am who intially seemed to be acting in my best interests. But after some reflection, and mentioning at least three times that a prior accountant from another firm had said that it would be too difficult to retrieve documents from overseas, for work that I did - she persisted, encouraging me to chase them up. So she could get more money for work not yet lodged? I asked her about her family on the panel of photos and we chatted about them as she asked me questions about my tax return. Just like in a wealthy persons home, most have a few gold gilded family photo frames but not as many as she had, the photos - three generations of family. Sometimes overcompensating is a sign of feeling insecure or that some other factor is hidden. She seemed to be using words and phrases from my public information not yet volunteered in the form of double word meaning emphasis, as an intended form of cheekiness with the view to provoke a jealousy fuelled insult. She mentioned that she was jealous of family and friends who had travelled to Thailand in the photos. So I kept the talk of my travels to a minimum because I thought she might metaphorically boil me in a cauldron, along with my tax return. It might invoke cloudy decision making on her part. I took along some bank statements and thought she might sift through them to add up the total amount to see if the donations on them were tax deductible. But it seems she may not have. I asked her if she would like to keep them for this reason, she replied no. I wasn't happy that she didn't seem to read over them in detail. Correct me if I am mistaken. The more I centred the social chatter on her, and her family the more she calmed down.I thought she was fair, and tried to advise me on what I should do. But I feel that after seeking the advise of two other accountants and other financial advisors that I have acted with good intentions. But, as I said, she wouldn't let up on documents impossible to retrieve! So she could earn more money!
