I love David Jones for choice and great service. Been in store 3 times today and had great service in Menswear, but really very below par in small electrical. I wanted to buy a toaster but wanted to see it in operation before making the purchase. This was seemingly an impossible task, was told nowhere to plug the appliance in, cannot believe that. It took a number of attempts to find someone from that department, two members from other departments pointed me in the right direction, and eventually a lady came to assist but really failed to make the sale. It appeared to me too difficult a task to show me the product functioning. Sadly I will buy the product elsewhere, in fact, $20 cheaper when I investigated. Wasn't the price that determines this, just the poor lack of service. Sorry David Jones.
Luxury shopping isnt just about stocking pricey or well made or brand name products its about service , product knowledge, creative solutions to problems, packaging and creating a great user experience. David Jones no longer provides that great customer experience due to a lack of investment in staff. This is ultimately what will kill the department store because there is no advantage to not purchasing online if there is no value in purchasing in person.
Great range and their sales are always great value. Service is very good, when you can get it, seems to vary hugely from department to department. Really good range of women's shoes, handbags and clothes.
Wonderful staff. So helpful. After a stuff up with my on line/ collect order, they were so helpful& fixed it all up. And I have what I ordered. Happy!
Lovely brands and offers. A must go shopping place to get the best collections in your wardrobe. I love shopping here as the staff are very friendly, have options in choosing the right brand for your style and good music whilst shopping.
