Great FREE interesting museum. Worth the visit!
Queensland Police Museum is on the ground floor of Police Headquarters Brisbane. Excellent collection of Police heritage, notorious crimes, technology in policing a simulated murder scene. Well worth a visit probably the best Police Museum in Australia.
There are 25 displays describing police heritage, Queensland crimes, police investigative techniques, medals, the history of police women, operational equipment and transport, amongst others. The simulated murder scene is a popular attraction - you can come and try your hand at solving this crime.The Research Library is home to a monograph collection, as well as archival material and images that date back to 1864. Researchers are welcome to use these research facilities, but please contact the Museum to make an appointment. Museum staff can conduct research on your behalf if you are unable to visit the Museum in person.
Pretty small, and a lot of reading to do. Luckily its free.
Good displays, hidden museum with lots of informative history and cool stuff in it. So repeat visits worthwhile
