DO NOT RENT FROM this real estate. We lived at 72 Woodville street for almost 3yrs amd were good tenants that were always ahead in rent. We accidentally paid 2 weeks extra rent and had to wait over a week for them to refund even though our ledger was fully paid. They actually were refusing to give it back until after our bond was released. We moved 3.5 weeks ago and are still yet to receive our bond back. To say this real estates behaviour is appalling is an understatement. We used there recommended cleaner who quoted $620 but charged us $750 after trying to charge us $820 on the day. Stephanie our property manager has cancelled (hung up) calls from my partner trying to get our bond realeased and tried to say we broke a window (that fell out and was intact on the ground from wood rott) which we had photo evidence to show we hadn't caused the damage and provided to the real estate and they are saying they can't realease the undisputed bond which is what they have been asked to do as per the RTA guidelines. When I went to the office to hand in keys after Stephanie cancelled and refused to have the hand over as previously arranged after we had been ripped off by there cleaners she hid in the back office and had her co worker be rude to me and again reiterate we would not get our rent back until our bond refund. I had a colleague with me who is also a justice of the peace that witnessed this. We will be reporting the unacceptable conduct to REIQ. Just to reiterate she has advised unless we pay $159 for a window we did not break we could be waiting in excess of 30 days for our bond refund. The real estates have bullied us and been disgraceful to the entire profession. I just want to say thanks again Stephanie and colleagues for your appalling behaviour and making a exciting time for young first home buyers a absolute stressful experience by holding onto at one point almost $3,000 in addition to recommending a cleaner that ripped us off!
