How ridiculous. I travelled from Eagle Junction to Gold Coast but my friend who was from oversea travelled from Sydney to Brisbane and got lost in the airport. I recommended her to use the train service as it is fast. But since she was lost and didnt have a sim, I told her that I will wait for her on platform 1 so we can go to Gold Coast together. I didnt get out of the airport as I didnt need to and as soon as I hopped on the train to Gold Coast, a male staff who has been watching me through CCTV obviously approached me and demanded me to tap off at the station as I used the train according to him!!! So I paid twice to enter and exit the domestic station within a second. How ridiculous and rude is that. The train is operated by Queensland Rail and is partnered with AirTrain. I didnt use the service to get out of the domestic station as my need is to travel to the Gold Coast and I was forced to pay a ridiculous fare to travel from Eagle Junction to Gold Coast. If I know that there is such a behaviour I would just told my friend to book a Uber to Eagle Junction and see me there. If you think you have the rights to charge every single person who stepped out at the train at the station, just install the tap off function at the doors of the train itself. Thanks for such a wonderful experience. From now on I wont recommend anyone to use AirTrainPs: according to your response, you should train your staff better so he knows AirTrain only owns the Airport Line not a single Train. I wonder if a person somehow mistook the Airport line and must take the train back, do you go after and chase them too. Still a joke
Good for travel to gold coast. For Brisbane probably catch uber. Once at helensvale can catch tram to surfers broadbeach etc. As a private run train good value. Can catch bus for $35 each way but slower.
Too expensive and their refund policy is not flexible. Very frustrating. However, when there were track maintenance or work, bus correspondences were available and staff were friendly and helpful. The changes were well indicated.
This service costs me about $40 return each month, for just 2 stops each way - this I accept, but why are they only half-hourly intervals? This is pretty unacceptable.
Nice and modern. Not very fast and it turns to a suburban train after leaving airport stations. New Woolloongabba station being built on this line. Return cost to the city was $44 (bit steep for a suburban service)
