Very disappointed in Pony. Im not one to write reviews however Pony has really appalled me. My colleagues and I were excited to try this place - we flew in from Sydney and are staying nearby, and were excited from the reviews. My colleagues arrived at 7pm and enquired about a table. Fair enough, we didnt have a booking and were told the wait is 1 hour and 10 - although several tables were available. I then rang up a few moments later and made a booking, was told it was now 1.5 hour wait for a table. Nonetheless, I booked. We arrived a few minutes prior to our booking time and the same tables were still available! Empty! We were advised our table was being set up and to take a seat at the bar. We were waiting for 10 minutes and were told the table would be ready in 2 minutes. Another 10 minutes passed and we decided to leave. Shocking service.
Worst fine dining experience ever. First we ordered two glasses of wine one of which had this small white particles in it, when asking our waiter he refused to even acknowledge its existence even though everyone on our table could see it. Then it took us an hour and a half to receive our food. When asked about the food the waiter advised us it is coming off the grill and still took another 30 minutes for plates to receive our food. They served us warm plates to keep our steaks (to share) cold and the plates were cold by the time the steak actually arrived. Not exactly a great experience for a $400 meal for 4 people. If I could give a minus star I would. Would much prefer going to sake who is literally 100m away.
Friends and I from interstate had dinner here last night after doing some research online. Excellent food, fairly priced. Location is great overlooking the water and city. We were looked after by a pleasant, friendly waitress. No complaints you cant go wrong with this restaurant.
Terrible.. What an over priced, underdelivered poor excuse for a restaurant. High priced set menu for 5 course experience. From start to finish, 4.5 hours!! ! From a set menu!!! Hardly call it 5 course. 1st course was just a dressed up potato chip. Then told when seated that the mains were to share. What a joke... Where was this on the set menu online. This place will rip you off with poor service.
Wonderful restaurant - excellent location, beautiful modern, relaxing decor, excellent service - food and drinks fantastic. We had an amazing small birthday celebration there on Monday night - and enjoyed the best of everything. The atmosphere was perfect. This would have to be the best restaurant we have dined in for a very long time
