What a disappointment...best bar in Australia for 3 years? Obviously some of the present staff werent working when they were being judged for the award! Fabulous place re old style and location, but 2 arrogant bar men lets it down. Also... making a daiquiri with crushed ice? So watered down... just because you charge big prices, doesnt mean you know what youre doing! Music unbelievably loud... couldnt hear each other speak! Asked for it to turned down slightly, were rudely told, duh, it is a bar!Wont be back.
Friendly staff and good coffee. Coffee happy hour is in the morning unlike most, which makes it great for the office coffee trips
I've been here several times, its a great place to relax and have a conversation. The bar staff really know their stuff and will happily chat and explain the huge variety of whiskey and other drinks they have. On occasion they have whiskey tasting nights here and I highly recommend attending one if you want to learn a little more about whiskey.
Great bar with a very wide range of whiskies. They span scotches to Irish and American whiskeys and it's rare you won't find something to your liking. They also have a substantial Japanese list but it's definitely at a premium (seems like the overall trend right now for Asian whiskey).
Be unaustralian and don't use the menu. Seriously the best bar tenders in Brisbane who will mix you something that you will love and return for. For years I've been coming occasionally and each time I've had a great experience. The long hardwood bar is beautiful.Can get very busy so I avoid peak times for a more intimate experience.
