Pretty disappointed. We were collecting our car and the guy serving us was more interested in trying to upgrade us to a more expensive vehicle rather than explaining the charges and fees associated with the rental agreement. Subsequently i was put on the most expensive option with no discussion around other options for insurance. The lady i spoke to when returning the vehicle was great hence the slightly better star rating.

The two guys that helped us out with the car hire we're very helpful as we had a bad experience with Hertz in Melbourne. We even upgraded and got awesome Commodore beautiful to drive my partner wanted to buy it. Good on you Hertz Queensland thanks for your great service
TO ANYONE HIRING PLEASE READ!!!!!I HAD TERRIBLE SERVICE! I read and understood the contract as per the return on the fuel policy and fueled the car full tank within 15klm of the drop off point, I provided a receipt at the domestic terminal drop off point only for the lady at the service desk to take the receipt (no joke) she placed it upon her forehead and laughed then handed it back and said there was no reason for her to sight and keep the receipt (I walked out feeling confused) I then arrive home from holidays and find that hertz car rental have charged me a further $160.00 for returning the car on an EMPTY tank of fuel!!! now I'm taking this up with customer relations and I'm absolutely disgusted at how poorly this has all been handled!!!!
Hertz charged hundreds of dollars of fees on top of their booking rate and then added $40 to my trip over the gateway bridge as a 'processing fee'. They have joined a group of deceptive businesses that make money, not from their core offering, but by ripping off customers with a host of made up charges. Look for a rental car company with a more honest business model.
