Best Service Highly recommend you consider if your pregnant and want to give birth... They make you feel like a Queen and the atmosphere in the room as well as the maternity ward is so calm and helps so much with a smooth labour. Really good hospital
Waited 3.5 hours to be seen after presenting to the early pregnancy unit with clotting only to be turned away and told they couldn't give me a scan because they were "too busy" . A 10 year old doctor took bloods but they were too busy to give me the results. Absolutely zero compassion and no regard at all. DISGUSTED
What an incredible experience, as first time parents all staff and doctors guided us through every step of the way. Thanks to the patient midwives who were there for us 24/7, great room service (sadly not 24/7) and TV/entertainment options too. From the initial OB appointments to the delivery room and beyond we were in good hands. Whether you choose private or public, the Mater is the best in Brisbane.
Outstanding customer service and care. Everyone weve met has been incredibly helpful and an absolute pleasure. Special thanks goes out to Courtney, our midwife, for her loveable nature and professionalism. My wife needed an emergency caesarean and as you can expect its a pretty nerve-racking experience however she put my wife at ease and for that Ill always be forever thankful.
I stayed for 3 nights when I had my baby and had nothing but positive experiences with all the midwives that looked after me, from the birth suite to the ward everyone was so helpful and friendly with heaps of great tips and advice for looking after newborns. You don't get a private room and the bathroom is shared but that is to be expected when going public. Food was pretty good for hospital food. Check out took longer than expected so my advice is to let someone know early if you're ready to leave. Overall it was a really good experience and would definitely recommend them to anyone
